Enter mile pace … 5 k time for that pace will be in first yellow column. Next, enter the time you want each runner to run. The distance they'll cover in both miles and meters will be in the next two yellow columns. Click Instructions at top for more details.

This sheet will compute how far someone will run based on their mile pace and the amount of time they run. In the green cells, enter the name of the runner and their pace in the minute and second columns. The 4th column is their 5k time if they were to run that pace for the entire 5000 meters. For times over an hour, the hour isn't shown and the background will be red... Slow Walker below.  In the example below, if John Doe ran 5:30 pace for 10 minutes, he'd cover 1.82 miles, or 2926 meters. Jane Dow, running at 7:30 pace for 10 minutes would cover 1.33 miles or 2146 meters

The little calculators at the bottom will convert a time from one distance to an equivalent time for 5000 meters using the Rigel Equation that's used by most other equivalent time calcs. The closer you are to 5k, the better the conversion. The top one uses meters, the middle one uses miles. In the top example a time of 16:30 for 4000 meters yields a mile pace of 6:38. The adjusted mile pace for 5k is 6:44 and the Rigel conversion for 5k is 20:54.  The two litle calcs at the bottom convert miles to meters or meters to miles if needed.
